ControlFlex System Reference

Overview

ControlFlex is the system used to control house lights, stage curtains, power for the main projectors and displays, and power for the PA. It is accessible from any computer or device on the BFC network.

Access: http://10.1.70.11:8080/master/

The interface has four tabs: General, Video, Power, and Macros.

General Tab

Controls lights and curtains.

Main Lighting provides remote access to the same buttons available on the 5 wall panels near the Sanctuary exits. Options include:

  • House On
  • Curtain Open
  • Worship — Curtain Closed
  • Message — Curtain Closed
  • All Lights Off

Stage Curtain controls the motorized center stage curtain (Open / Stop / Close).

Side Curtains controls the left and right side curtains independently (Up / Stop / Down).

Lock Keypads locks all wall keypads in the room. This should be confirmed locked on the Gameday Checklist before service.

Video Tab

Controls power for projection and display systems.

  • Main Projectors — The main projectors are lamp-based and the lamps are expensive to replace. To preserve lamp life, turn them on approximately 30 minutes before an event (8:15am on Sundays). Turn off promptly after the event ends.
  • Confidence Projector — Projector at the back of the room.
  • Confidence Display — Display in front of the stage.
  • Multiviewers — Monitors in the main control room.

Power Tab

Controls PA and lighting power, as well as a Fire Alarm Beam Detector bypass.

System Power sections:

  • Amplifiers — Main PA amplifier power
  • Worklights — Work lighting in the room
  • Lighting — Stage lighting power
  • Seat Lights — Under-seat lighting

Sound System Power controls power to the main PA system.

Fire Alarm Bypass

The Power tab includes a Fire Alarm Beam Detector bypass. This is used when haze or other effects would otherwise trigger the alarm. Only enable when needed and disable immediately after.

Notes

  • ControlFlex is on the BFC network — access requires a network connection on-site
  • Projector lamps are the most expensive consumables in the room; never leave them on unnecessarily
