Dana Dolly V3 Beltless — Engaging and Disengaging the Motor

The DDV3 kit has a silver locking pin on the motor assembly that lets you switch between motorized and manual modes quickly.

To Engage (Motorized Mode)

Pull the spring plunger and twist it 90° to lock it out of the way. The drive wheel drops down and makes firm contact with the speed rail.

To Disengage (Manual Mode)

Pull and twist the silver pin in the opposite direction to lock it in the disengaged position. The drive wheel lifts away from the track so the dolly can be pushed freely by hand.

When to Disengage

  • During sensor board installation and position adjustment (you need to manually slide the dolly along the track while checking the LEDs)
  • Any time you need to reposition the dolly by hand without powering the controller
